Kigtek Solutions, part of VINCI Energies — a global leader in energy, digital transformation and industrial innovation — is seeking a Senior Software Controls Engineer to deliver high‑impact automation solutions across the Distilling, Brewing, Food Manufacturing and Renewable Energy sectors.
The Role
Lead the design, development, testing and commissioning of PLC, SCADA and HMI control systems.
Produce clear technical documentation including FDS, architecture diagrams and test plans.
Manage software delivery across the full lifecycle (requirements → FAT/SAT → commissioning → handover).
Troubleshoot and optimise control systems in live process environments.
Collaborate across engineering teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Engage directly with clients, presenting technical solutions and supporting project delivery.
About You
Engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC) in Controls, Electrical, Automation or Software.
Strong experience developing industrial control software across PLC/SCADA/HMI platforms.
Solid understanding of programming structures, testing and version control.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
Proven FAT/SAT and commissioning experience.
Confident communicator with full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Experience with safety standards (IEC 61508/61511), IIoT/cloud integrations, cyber security, vendor toolsets (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, AVEVA) or projects in regulated sectors.
