Location: Peterborough (with travel) • Full-time

About the Role:

Build, wire and test low‑voltage control panels and switchgear. Ensure high-quality workmanship, support FATs and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and wire control panels to drawings

• Terminations, component mounting & cable dressing

• Continuity/functional testing & fault finding

• Interpret schematics & BOMs

• Ensure compliance with BS EN 61439 / BS 7671

• Support workshop safety, quality & improvement

About You:

• Proven industrial panel wiring/switchgear experience

• Strong schematic reading skills

• High attention to detail

• Good testing and diagnostic ability

• Knowledge of relevant standards

• IT‑literate, mentoring experience beneficial

• Full UK driving licence

Desirable: Electrical qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ3), PLC/HMI wiring experience, Food & Beverage/process sector exposure.
